Who wants to become a mermaid? This 3 hour mermaid workshop teaches everything from mermaid movement techniques, makeup, breathing, yoga, tail slaps and heaps more! 


Mermaid School includes;

Classroom

  • Why our oceans are so important to our global biosphere and how you can help
  • Safety rules of mermaiding
  • Relaxation and underwater breathing techniques
  • Yoga stretches and mermaid movements
  • The art of mermaid makeup
  • Light refreshments - fresh fruit and juice
In Water Skills
  • Equipment fitting and mono-fin tail
  • Equalising techniques
  • Controlled seated entries
  • Back floats/glides
  • 'Dolphin' kicks
  • Duck dives
  • Side kicks
  • Tail slaps
  • Bubble kisses and horizontal bubble rings


Please Note:

  • Parents are able to purchase discounted entry tickets (Adult Spectator discount of 20% off, purchased at Gate) to watch their children during the 'in-water' component. However this is optional, as parents are not required to be onsite for the duration of the workshop and their entry is not part of the Workshop inclusions.
  • Places are limited so bookings are essential

  • Participants will be in a Mahina tail mono-fin, which is the safest tail as each leg can easily be disengaged when required and legs are not bound
