Join us on November 22 at AQWA for this special Guest Speaker and Book Launch event with Craig, as he humbly recounts the rescue mission he unexpectedly became integral to, which against all odds, was a success.

About the speaker and author:

Craig has dived some of Australia's deepest wrecks and has set depth records in diving, including diving to 194m in the Pearse Resurgence, New Zealand in 2011. He was awarded Technical Diver of the Year 2009 at the Australian technical diving conference, Oztek.

Craig was engaged for the mission based on his technical expertise in cave and deep diving and as a veterinarian with significant knowledge of anaesthesia and medications. Working 10 to 12 hours a day in extremely dangerous conditions, he risked his life assisting as the children were sedated and dived, one-by-one, through the dark and narrow flooded caves. He was awarded the Star of Courage for his unwavering and selfless bravery.


Tickets include:

  • 6.00pm – opportunity to browse the aquarium
  • 6.30pm – Guests must be seated for start of presentation
  • Q&A and Meet & Greet with Craig proceeding the presentation
  • Option to pre-purchase a signed copy of Craig's co-authored book (see ticket options)
  • Optional food and beverages are available for purchase on the night
