  • As of 16/01/22, face masks are required at AQWA for all patrons aged 12+.
  • As of 31/01/22, Government mandated proof of vaccination or medical exemption will be required to enter AQWA for all those aged 16+. While AQWA respects individual's freedom of choice, we are required by State Government regulations to comply with the Chief Medical Officer's directions. Children aged 15 and under don't need to show proof of vaccination.
  • Ongoing measures: check-in via the SafeWA/ServiceWA app or contact register is mandatory. Physical distancing is required and is up to all of us to uphold.

Discover one of Perth’s most iconic tourist destinations – AQWA The Aquarium of Western Australia -- home to hundreds of unique species of marine life from the coastline of Western Australia. 

A must for all age groups – from kiddies through to grandparents – a visit to AQWA takes you on an underwater journey to discover the iconic and incredible marine life of WA. From icy waters to tropical wonderlands, you’ll explore five discovery zones including the great southern coast, Shipwreck coast, Perth coast, Far North coast and Marmion Marine Park.

Situated at Hillary’s Boat Harbour, AQWA boasts one of the world’s largest living coral reef exhibits, where visitors will be amazed by the vibrant life of a coral reef, bursting with colourful creatures and intriguing coral formations. 

From sharks, to stingrays to giant sea turtles the whole family will be enthralled as they come face-to-fin with all manner of majestic sea creatures. To make the journey even more exciting they can jump on a 98 metre long moving walkway (the largest in Australia) that transports them through the underwater tunnel.
