Exclusive to the September/October school holidays, our Eco Teen program is going WILD! Send your teen out to sea to witness ocean giants first hand with AQWA's newest teen marine program, Whale Safari.


On this full day adventure, teens discover more about reef conservation, marine ecosystems, human threats & how their own 'citizen science' can make a difference. Then for the main event they'll climb aboard our partner's Rottnest Fast Ferries whale watching vessel to explore the magic of marine mammals in the wild, alongside their own private Ocean Guide! Places limited, this is not to be missed! 


  Availability: 

  • This exclusive full day program will run from from 8.45am - 3.15pm on select dates during WA Sept/Oct school holidays
  • Available to teens aged 12-16
  • Some exclusions apply, see full T&C before booking.
  • Places are strictly limited, bookings are essential.


Includes/Example Timetable:

  • Fully guided 6 hour program
  • 8.45am - Arrive for briefing and handover
  • 9.00am - 12.00pm: At AQWA & Sorrento Beach
  • Be the first in to AQWA for a mini tour, including behind the scenes of the Coral Conservatory
  • Discover the importance of reef conservation and AQWA's unique project to future-proof WA's corals
  • Engage in citizen science! You'll head to the beach to sample for microplastics and log your data, plus clean-u the beach as you go.
  • Learn about human threats to whales, including those past (whaling) and present (microplastics)
  • In depth pre-safari talk on
    whales presented by Marine Biologist
  • Lunch included!
  • 12.00pm - 2.00/2.30pm: At Sea with AQWA Ocean Guide, aboard Rottnest Fast Ferries vessel.
  • 3.00/3.15pm - Back to AQWA for debrief and pick-up
